The Museum of Wisconsin Art is considered one of the state’s most important art museums, holding the largest collection of Wisconsin art ever assembled. But this beautiful museum does far more than just house beautiful art; it’s a place that invites people of all ages to engage with the arts world. Public events happen at the museum every week.
Here’s a sample of upcoming events:
At noon, 20-minute “Express Talks” take place that provide an introduction to Wisconsin art. Every week features a different subject.
Weekly family friendly “Studio Saturdays” take place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., The events allow participants to discover a new art technique.
Thursday, Feb, 25
The Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council will celebrate its 100th anniversary at the museum at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 27
From 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. the museum will host “Posters that Pop with Michael Adler.” The event is part of the MOWA Masters Series.
Saturday, March 5
From 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. the museum will host “Drawing with Paula Swaydan Grebel.” The event is part of the MOWA Masters Series.
