Get Ready for Art and Chalk Fest

Join the Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) for the annual Art & Chalk Fest on Saturday and Sunday, August 17–18 from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. in West Bend. This vibrant, outdoor arts festival takes place across MOWA’s expansive four-acre campus, showcasing a diverse array of artists from all around Wisconsin. Witness chalk artists creating stunning large-scale artworks on the spot, be amazed at live glass blowing demonstrations from a mobile hot shop, and a caricature drawing session. Throughout the weekend, experience the magic of clay sculpting as artists transform raw materials into pottery.

Explore the Family Activity Zone, where you can contribute to a community chalk project or immerse yourself in hands-on art projects. Complete your experience with delicious offerings from food trucks, live music, and unwind at the beer garden. Best of all, enjoy free admission to the museum on both Saturday and Sunday. Peter Davidson, Annmarie Geniusz, Kaylee Goodman, Shelley Heath, Madelyn Hohler, Carli Ihde, Julie Jilek, Kinsley Kohls, Kendall Laurent, Elizabeth Niemczyk, Allison Olstad, Craig and Jamie Rogers, Tonya Severing, John E Soukup, Clare Speece, Emily Willey, and Kimberly Wood.  These chalk artists will make incredible big pictures on a 10×10-foot part of pavement. Come back during the two days to watch as the artworks go from sketches to finished masterpieces.
