5 Ways West Bend Can Help Keep New Year’s Resolutions Strong

The new year is always a great time to start fresh or make some long-overdue changes. People oftentimes focus their resolutions on goals that will make them a little healthier or improve some aspect of their life for this reason. Well, we’re a month into the new year. How are your resolutions going?

Don’t worry if you’ve faltered even the best of us needs to renew our resolve from time to time. Or, perhaps you’ve successfully stayed the course these past 30-some days but could use a little reinvigoration? There’s no better place to look for inspiration than the City of West Bend!

I looked up some of the most popular New Year’s resolutions and a few themes arose. Chances are your resolution fits into one of the categories below. Here are some of my West Bend suggestions for each.


Exercise More

West Bend is known for its amazing parks, but sometimes the cold can deter people from getting outside. Vortex Pickleball Club offers a perfect indoor alternative to help you stay active during the winter months. Even if you don’t know how to play, the club hosts free clinics and provides paddles, balls, and an experienced instructor. Come try a free Visitor Membership or check out other paid memberships they offer. 

Eat Healthy

If you are looking to be more health-conscious this year, you might do well to add some organic foods or other “clean” products to your grocery list. The Green Dog Market, located on Main Street, is a great place to start. The shop works with dozens of local vendors to provide the best quality products and produce just for you. Try Something New

If you are looking for fresh new flavors, La Mexicana and 3 Amigos Hispanic Store are great places to try new foods and cuisine. Both of these locations provide authentic Mexican and Hispanic foods and flavors that you can incorporate into your diet. From top notch tacos to carnitas and chicharron, come visit and have a fresh meal that you can chow down right away.

Personal Growth

If you want to learn something new, MOWA might just be the place for you! Containing hundreds of artists and over five thousand pieces of artwork from around Wisconsin, the Museum oWisconsin Art is a fantastic place to visitThey provide programs that can help you express your creative side and can give you a fresh new way of looking at artwork. Coming off of an extremely successful Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit, MOWA also has many brand new and exciting popup exhibits coming soon and throughout the year that you should totally check out. 

Reduce Stress/Improve Work-Life Balance
