Escape the winter blues with a weekend away at West Bend’s annual Winter Warm-Up! The event returns bigger than ever in 2023. From January 21-22, the city will transform into a winter wonderland with artwork, outdoor adventures, shows, shopping, dining and more. Over 60 ice sculptures line downtown, with live demos and music as entertainment in Old Settlers Park. Stop by on Sunday to see a team of sled dogs for an awesome photo opportunity. Just a short drive from downtown is Regner Park, the site of the Winter Warm-Up Fat Tire Bike Race at 9 a.m. Saturday, January 21. This event is “extra credit” to the extremely popular Hugh Jass race series, which tours around Wisconsin each winter. Registration is still open for riders looking to take on the unique challenge of a fat tire race. Finish the course, then stay for an after-party in the park at 1 p.m.!

Stay outside Saturday night for the Lac Lawrann Conservancy Winter Luminary Walk. Hike the scenic trails of Lac Lawrann as they glow with peaceful lantern light, and stare up through the canopy of at the starry sky. Begin the short trek any time between 5 and 7 p.m., then enjoy music and a campfire outside of the conservancy’s 1860s barn.

Looking to get out of the cold? Stop by The Bend Theater for entertainment all ages can enjoy! Stand-up comedian Sam Tallent takes the stage on Saturday night, and on Sunday catch Disney’s Frozen on the big screen, with Elsa and Anna stopping by for photos.
