Where to find outdoor dining in West Bend

Published: June 24, 2021 | Article Views: 1756

Take advantage of Wisconsin’s beautiful summer weather by enjoying lunch or dinner (or maybe just drinks and an appetizer) at these restaurants with outdoor seating. Here are a few places to visit on your next trip to West Bend.

Please contact specific businesses for more information on any changes to hours or operations.

Riverside Brewery and Restaurant

Enjoy a craft beer with a view of the Milwaukee River at this downtown brewery and restaurant on Main Street just south of Veterans Avenue. Riverside Brewery and Restaurant offers a rotating selection of nine craft beer on tap, including signature brews like Main Street Amber Ale, Killer Kolsch, and Bent River Berry Weiss, as well as seasonal specialties like Beerbon Porter and Jerry’s Dairy Cream Ale. On the menu, you’ll find tasty steaks, burgers, paninis and more.

Timmer’s Resort

Discover delicious lakeside dining at Timmer’s Resort, which sits on the shore of Big Cedar Lake, about a 15-minute drive from downtown West Bend. Timmer’s has been a West Bend institution since it first opened as a hotel in 1882 (there’s still a cottage for rent on the site, but it’s under different ownership than the restaurant). Guests can dine outside on the huge outdoor patio and enjoy views of Big Cedar Lake while enjoying entrees like pecan-crusted salmon, seared scallops, and sauteed Canadian walleye, not to mention the classic Friday fish fry.

Jug’s Hitching Post Saloon & Grill

Head to this cozy bar and grill on Main Street in nearby Kohlsville (it’s still got a West Bend address, however) to enjoy outdoor dining on a sizeable patio that features heaters for those chilly nights as well as a wood-burning fireplace. The menu includes black angus burgers, tenderloin steak sandwiches and Wednesday night ribs & wings, as well as homemade pizzas and (of course) a Friday fish fry.

The Braising Pan

In the mood for classic German fare or some American favorites? Head to The Braising Pan on Main Street and Park Avenue in downtown West Bend to find German specialties like braunschweiger, schnitzel and rouladen. Or you can go with favorites like burgers, wraps, and steak. Grab a seat on the patio and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner.
